See your deposit and LMI position as a medical professional

Standard borrowers usually need a 20% deposit to avoid Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI). Many eligible medical professionals can borrow at a higher LVR without LMI through a lender waiver — so you may need a smaller deposit. Enter your numbers to see roughly where you'd sit. General estimate only.

Are these calculator results a loan quote or pre-approval?

No. These calculators produce general estimates based on the figures you enter — they are not a quote, an offer of finance, credit assistance or pre-approval. Your actual repayment, LVR and LMI position depend on the lender, product and your individual circumstances.

Why does the repayment calculator ask me to set my own interest rate?

Interest rates vary by lender, loan product, LVR and borrower profile and change over time, so the calculator does not assume a single rate for you. Enter a rate you want to test to see how it affects the estimated repayment, total interest and total amount repayable.

How does a medical LMI waiver change the deposit calculation?

Standard borrowers usually need a 20% deposit (80% LVR) to avoid Lenders Mortgage Insurance. Some lenders waive LMI for eligible medical professionals at higher LVRs, which can lower the deposit needed. Eligibility, the maximum LVR and waiver availability depend on lender policy, profession and individual circumstances.

Where can I get an actual assessment instead of an estimate?

The calculators are a starting point for your own numbers. For an assessment based on your actual circumstances, use the Finance Check or Medical Borrowing Readiness Tool, or contact the team directly.
